Chartered the Celtic Wildcat from Aberystwyth on 17 June 10. It was a mixture of novice anglers through to the more experienced. Nick was superb. He made the brews and helped out with the novice anglers. The Tope and mackerel weren’t playing but Nick tried his hardest to find them for us. You could see he was as frustrated as we were. The banter was good and Nick joined (and took it). I would definitely recommend using this boat. Fish caught. Mackerel, Bullhuss, Wrasse, Lion Fish, Black Bream, Doggies, Whiting, Weaver Fish and Gurnard.

I enjoyed a trip out on Celtic Wildcat with my club - the Danglers this weekend. Each year we have many trips out with skipper Nick O'Sullivan and one of our favourites is the Aberystwyth weekend after tope and bream. The weather made this trip a Sunday only outing in 2010 but I was very happy to bag a PB 30lb tope in the morning! We also had huss, huge weevers, scorpion fish - a real Cardigan Bay variety. Then in the afternoon, the bream came on the feed in force on our second mark of the day and it was non stop action for the rest of the day with everyone catching and having a few to take hope for supper. As ever, Nick kept us on the fish all day and with the speed of Widlcat we were out at the marks in no time at all and fishing in comfort on the spacious deck area. Really enjoyed the day and looking forward to the rest of the 2010 season and beyond.

glad to see the back of winter my annual trip to aber always means the start of some better fishing , met nick in the marina for 9am after stopping in Morrison for some fresh mackerel (nick had already phoned to say they were a bit thin on the ground this year ) steamed for about 45 Min `s then stopped and tried to feather some bait to now avail , continued to steam for another 20 Min `s where nick anchored us up as we came around in the tide he put the kettle on . half way though my tea my ratchet goes screaming of I tighten my drag and I `m in to my first tope of the year after a ten minute hard scrap the fish is along side the boat it`s a male estimated at 24 lb safely released it wasn't long before someone else was in and then another an another with a few double hook ups the fishing was constant for hrs. then the tide eased and as is the same story every were fishing eased off after contemplating a move it was decided to put the kettle on again and sit tight for an hour , the tide picked up and so did the fishing I finished the day putting 5 fish on the deck biggest about 30 lb . a cracking day with great company on a very steady fast boat I think there were over 20 tope boated biggest 36 lb 2 or 3 to 15lb huss loads of small dabs and whiting and we managed 20 or so mackerel at anchor, I thoroughly enjoyed the day and can`t wate to get back out on the wild cat
